Editorial policy

Bright Sports Network aims to make thoughtful, readable work about sporting design and culture. We distinguish observation from interpretation, check factual claims before publication and correct errors plainly.

Accuracy and context

We take care with names, descriptions and background information, and seek reliable confirmation for factual claims. When a detail is uncertain or disputed, we make that uncertainty clear rather than presenting an assumption as settled fact. We explain the context needed to understand a design choice, custom or sporting object.

Independence and corrections

Editorial decisions are made for readers, not as a condition of a partnership. If we find a meaningful error, we correct the relevant text and make the change clear where appropriate. Readers can send correction requests through the Contact page; useful details help us review them.

Partner material and illustrations

Paid or otherwise agreed partner material is labelled so readers can distinguish it from independent editorial coverage. A partnership does not guarantee favourable editorial treatment. Some illustrations may be AI-generated; where that is relevant to understanding an image, we identify it clearly.
